HEPA FILTER The CB294 makes use of a medical-grade, H13 / MERV17 rated HEPA filter. This medical-grade filter removes a minimum of 99.97% of particles 0.3µm in diameter and 95% of particles 0.1µm in diameter. As a result, the CB294 effectively removes allergens such as pollen, dust mites and particles, smoke, and mould in spaces up to 50m². The CB294 also provides effective control against airborne viruses and bacterium which can be as small as 0.1µm. Viruses and bacterium are usually attached to respiratory droplets, or aerosols, which become airborne by coughing, sneezing, or even breathing. These much larger respiratory droplets (5-10µm) are easily captured by the H13 HEPA Filter of the CB294 Air Purifier.
ACTIVATED CARBON FILTER Activated carbon filters use a process of adsorption to remove pollutants from the air, a process where molecules adhere to the vast surface area of the activated carbon. This process allows the activated carbon filter to remove odours and volatile organic compounds, where mechanical filters, like HEPA filters, are unable to. Unpleasant odours, Benzene, Xylene, and some chlorinated compounds are examples of what can be removed by the activated carbon filter of the CB294 Air Purifier.
PLASMAWAVE TECHNOLOGY PlasmaWave technology creates a short electrical discharge to create dual polarity ions from air moisture. This electrical discharge is safe and only occurs for a short period of time (nanoseconds). Positive hydrogen (H+) and negative oxygen ions (-O2) attach themselves to the surface of air pollutants to form Hydroxyls by removing hydrogen from the structure of air. This interaction removes air pollutants and allows the ions to use the missing Hydrogen ion, which was removed from the structure of the air pollutants, to return as air moisture (H2O). Independent testing for PlasmaWave® using live influenza (flu) virus confirmed 99.96% of this virus was neutralised within 60 min
